Authorities have announced special security protocols to prevent crowd misbehavior during the upcoming Pakistan vs Afghanistan T20 matches in Sharjah.
To avoid clashes, organizers will implement separate entry points and dedicated enclosures for each country’s supporters. Cross-entry between stands will be strictly prohibited throughout the tri-nation series.
The high-stakes matches between Pakistan and Afghanistan are set for August 29 and September 2.
The decision follows past incidents of fan violence, including the 2022 Asia Cup encounter when Afghan fans attacked Pakistani spectators after Naseem Shah’s dramatic sixes. Similar altercations were also reported during the 2019 World Cup in Leeds, prompting renewed emphasis on crowd control and security.
