PHC suspends arrest warrants for KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur, directs appearance in Islamabad court.

The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has issued a written order suspending the arrest warrants against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

Authored by Justice Ijaz Anwar, the verdict clearly states that the chief minister should not be arrested and accordingly disposed of the case. However, the court directed Ali Amin Gandapur to appear before Islamabad’s Senior Civil Judge Court No. 2.

The hearing in the Islamabad court is scheduled for today (Tuesday).

Earlier, the Islamabad court had issued arrest warrants for the chief minister due to his repeated absences and had instructed local police to ensure his arrest. Following this, the matter was taken to the PHC, which has now granted conditional relief by requiring his personal appearance before the trial court.
