Bo unveils world’s fastest E-Scooter ‘The Turbo’ — capable of reaching 100mph.

Electric scooters have been under fire on UK streets, often branded a “menace” with increasing calls for their ban. But a new model is likely to stir even more debate — and adrenaline.

UK-based company Bo has unveiled ‘The Turbo’, the world’s fastest e-scooter, capable of hitting speeds of up to 100mph. Designed for performance enthusiasts, it’s being hailed as a breakthrough in electric vehicle engineering.

“As The Turbo development progressed, we realised that we were creating a monster,” said Oscar Morgan, Bo’s CEO. “The Turbo is part of our mission to elevate e-scooters into the top tier of automotive performance.”

Crafted from aerospace-grade aluminium, The Turbo houses a 24,000W dual motor powertrain and an 1800Wh battery — enough to fast-charge 1,500 iPhones simultaneously. It boasts an impressive range of up to 150 miles, dwarfing the 15–40 mile range of most standard e-scooters.

Initial testing at the Goodwood Motor Circuit, with professional rider Tre Whyte, saw the vehicle hit a top speed of 85mph (135kph) across 20 runs. Bo now aims to officially break the 100mph mark under Guinness World Record supervision.

The price? A staggering $29,500 (£21,950) — a barrier that Bo believes will keep The Turbo in the hands of only the most experienced and committed riders. Interested buyers must submit proof of prior ride experience via the company’s online portal to be considered for a limited production run.

While the UK’s current legal e-scooter speed limit is 15.5mph, Bo’s ambitious creation raises fresh questions about the future of high-performance personal electric vehicles on public roads.
