Charli XCX marries The 1975 drummer George Daniel in London ceremony.

Pop star Charli XCX and George Daniel, drummer of The 1975, are officially married. A representative for Daniel confirmed to the Associated Press that the couple tied the knot over the weekend.

The newlyweds were spotted outside London’s Hackney Town Hall on Saturday, where Daniel wore a classic suit while Charli stunned in a Vivienne Westwood bridal mini dress, as confirmed by Vogue.

Charli XCX, born Charlotte Emma Aitchison, also shared a playful TikTok video in the same outfit, featuring the caption “when george isn’t crying when he sees me walking down the aisle,” followed by a reassuring “luckily he did.”

The couple announced their engagement on Instagram in 2023. They’ve collaborated musically multiple times, with Daniel co-producing and co-writing two tracks on Charli’s latest album BRAT, a critically acclaimed, high-energy release that has defined this summer’s pop sound.

Charli first rose to fame for writing the 2012 hit I Love It for Icona Pop and later for her feature on Iggy Azalea’s chart-topping single Fancy. Known for her experimental sound and work with PC Music, she continues to push pop boundaries.

George Daniel, meanwhile, is recognized not only as the drummer of The 1975 but also as a respected producer and DJ in his own right.

Representatives for Charli XCX have not yet responded to requests for comment.
