Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has emphasized that while there may be delays in holding elections, running away from them is not an option. Speaking at a rally in Multan’s Saeedan Wala Chowk, Bilawal Bhutto asserted that the people of Multan will vote for his party in the upcoming elections.
He recounted how his mother, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, was martyred but the PPP did not shy away from elections. Even during the 2018 elections, when his brother, Ali Haider Gilani, was abducted, they still demanded that elections be held. Bilawal Bhutto reiterated that they do not run away from elections, regardless of the time frame.
Addressing the crowd, Bilawal Bhutto mentioned the spirited campaign his party has been running in by-elections across the country, indicating that they are ready to contest elections vigorously. He expressed confidence that the PPP will emerge victorious.
He stated that whether the elections are held in 90 days or 120 days, they do not evade electoral contests. Bilawal Bhutto emphasized that they are a party that knows how to face challenges and doesn’t shy away from them.
Bilawal Bhutto further outlined their commitment to combating terrorism in all provinces and responding to political parties through democratic means. He indicated that they will respond to the opponents’ negative tactics through elections, unite, work hard, and ultimately achieve success.
The speech highlighted the PPP’s determination to participate actively in upcoming elections, despite challenges and adversities. It also underscored their commitment to democracy and their refusal to let any obstacles deter their political engagement.
Bilawal Bhutto’s message reflects the resilient spirit of his party and their dedication to the democratic process in Pakistan, even in the face of adversity and difficult circumstances. The upcoming elections will be a crucial moment in Pakistan’s political landscape, and the PPP’s active participation will undoubtedly shape the outcome.
