Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to participate in the 32nd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF), as confirmed by the Foreign Office spokesperson.
Upon his arrival, Dar was warmly welcomed at the airport by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Malaysia, Syed Ahsan Raza, along with senior officials from the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ARF Ministerial Meeting will bring together foreign ministers and representatives from 27 member countries, as well as the ASEAN Secretary-General. The forum will focus on key political and security issues affecting the Asia-Pacific region, aiming to promote peace, stability, and regional cooperation through dialogue.
During his stay, Dar is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with his Malaysian counterpart and other foreign ministers attending the event. Additionally, he will engage with members of the Pakistani community based in Kuala Lumpur.
Established in 1994, the ARF is a major platform for regional dialogue on peace and security. Pakistan has been an active participant since joining in 2004, consistently contributing to the Forum’s initiatives and collaborative efforts.
