M&S aims to move past cyberattack impact by August.

Marks & Spencer (M&S) expects to move past the worst effects of the April cyberattack by August, according to Chief Executive Stuart Machin, who addressed the issue during the retailer’s annual general meeting on Tuesday.

Machin assured shareholders that progress is being made, noting that half of the company’s online store—which remains partially offline—will be fully restored within the next four weeks. Meanwhile, other affected systems are in the process of being rebuilt and are expected to be operational by August.

“I’m hoping by August, the majority of this is behind us, and customers will see the full M&S,” Machin said.

The attack had disrupted online operations and raised concerns among customers and investors. However, M&S maintains confidence in its recovery plan and aims to resume full digital services soon.
