PM Shehbaz thanks coalition partners for budget support, urges united effort for economic recovery

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended his gratitude to coalition partners for their vital support in the passage of the federal budget, calling for unity and continuous efforts to guide Pakistan toward economic progress and stability.

Speaking to members of the National Assembly and Senate after the budget’s approval, the premier applauded the government’s economic team for preparing what he described as a “people-friendly” budget through thorough consultation with allied parties.

“The budget reflects the aspirations of the people. It is the product of collective hard work and the unity of all coalition partners, whose support was essential,” PM Shehbaz said. “Now, we must dedicate ourselves to working day and night for Pakistan’s economic development. I believe this unity will lead us to a brighter and more prosperous future.”

The Prime Minister also addressed national security, mentioning Pakistan’s firm response to recent acts of aggression by India. He credited the military, political leaders, civil society, and media for standing together, which he said prevented India’s plans and boosted Pakistan’s image internationally.

He further praised Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for leading a successful diplomatic mission that exposed India’s intentions on the global stage. PM Shehbaz noted the positive response received by the delegation and thanked overseas Pakistanis for their strong support and patriotism.

On the issue of escalating Israel-Iran tensions, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with Iran. “We remained in close contact with Iranian leadership, especially President Dr Masoud Pezeshkian, during the recent crisis. A peaceful resolution will benefit regional stability and prosperity,” he said.
