Islamabad, June 25, 2025 — The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast further rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms in various upper regions of the country over the next 12 hours.
According to the latest advisory, areas likely to be affected include Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, and Punjab. Meanwhile, the weather is expected to remain hot and humid in the rest of the country.
Over the past 24 hours, several regions — including Kashmir, Islamabad, Pothohar, upper Punjab, and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa — experienced rainfall along with gusty winds and thunder.
Despite the rain in northern regions, most of the country continued to face hot and humid conditions. The plains, in particular, remained gripped by a severe heatwave, with temperatures soaring to 47°C in Sibi and 45°C in Jacobabad.
Authorities have advised residents in vulnerable areas to stay alert and take precautions against possible weather-related disruptions.
