Hania Aamir confirms role in Sardaar Ji 3 amid tensions.

Pakistani actress Hania Aamir has officially confirmed her participation in the highly anticipated Indian Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3, putting to rest widespread rumors about her alleged removal due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.

The Sardaar Ji franchise, fronted by Indian superstar Diljit Dosanjh, enjoys a massive fanbase among Punjabi audiences. Its third installment is slated for release on July 27.

Speculation over Hania’s involvement grew after a tense military standoff in May, sparked by India’s accidental missile strikes on its own territory. In response, Pakistan launched “Bunyan-un-Marsoos” (Iron Wall), a major retaliatory operation during which six Indian fighter jets, including Rafales, were reportedly downed by the Pakistan Air Force. The flare-up cast a shadow over Indo-Pak collaborations, with Indian right-wing groups calling for a boycott of Pakistani artists—Sardaar Ji 3 among the targeted projects.

Hania first made headlines with Diljit Dosanjh when she appeared onstage at his London concert last year, where he praised her in front of a cheering crowd. Soon after, reports emerged that she would co-star with him in the next chapter of the beloved franchise.

As the political tension grew, rumors circulated that Hania had been dropped from the film under pressure from Indian film bodies. Both she and Diljit remained silent, fueling further uncertainty.

However, a behind-the-scenes photo recently shared by Diljit—showing him in a T-shirt featuring a woman who resembled Hania—rekindled fans’ hopes. Hania finally ended all speculation by posting the official trailer of Sardaar Ji 3, confirming her starring role alongside Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa.
