Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam, has strongly condemned recent threats made against Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, calling them unacceptable and asserting that ensuring his safety is a national duty.
Speaking on Dunya News’ program “Dunya Meher Bokhari Kay Sath”, the ambassador emphasized Iran’s unwavering resolve to stand against Israeli aggression, which he said has continued for nearly a week. He affirmed that Iran reserves the right to defend itself and that the nation remains united in the face of external threats.
“We have never shut the door to negotiations,” Dr. Moghadam stated, “but there must be a peaceful and conducive environment for any dialogue to succeed. Aggression must stop if meaningful talks are to begin.”
He also criticized Israel for its long-standing ambition to weaken Iran, asserting that the current escalation has only strengthened national unity. “This aggression has united the Iranian people more than ever. They are ready to make any sacrifice to protect their homeland,” he added.
Calling the recent attack unprovoked and blatant, Dr. Moghadam highlighted that the majority of Iranians support their government, system, and sovereignty, standing firmly behind their leadership in the face of ongoing conflict.
