UAE, Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed, two of Pakistan’s biggest entertainment megastars, have been honoured for their efforts in promoting their upcoming romantic comedy Love Guru. The two were celebrated during a special ceremony by Pakistani Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, on Tuesday.
The ceremony was a recognition of their outstanding contributions to the entertainment industry and their international promotional efforts. The actors were presented with commemorative shields, celebrating their dedication and achievements in representing Pakistan on the global stage.
In his speech, Ambassador Tirmizi highlighted Pakistan’s rich cultural and artistic diversity, emphasizing how the creative industry plays a key role in enhancing Pakistan’s image through soft power.
Love Guru Takes Over International Screens
Both Khan and Saeed have been on a whirlwind promotional tour, visiting major cities in the US, UK, and Canada. Their tour included red carpet events, fan meet-and-greets, and exclusive press interviews to drum up excitement for Love Guru, which is set for release during the Eidul Azha holiday next month.
The film made history recently when its trailer was showcased in New York City’s Times Square, marking the first-ever Pakistani film to be displayed on the landmark’s giant digital screens. The launch event drew a crowd of fans, onlookers, and members of the South Asian diaspora, who eagerly watched the stars unveil the trailer in person.
