Abbas Afridi replaces injured Wasim Jnr for Bangladesh T20I series.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a last-minute change in the national squad for the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, starting today at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. Fast bowler Mohammad Abbas Afridi has been called up to replace Mohammad Wasim Jnr, who has been ruled out due to a side strain sustained during the HBL PSL.

Wasim Jnr was unable to recover in time, prompting the inclusion of Abbas Afridi, who brings valuable experience and form into the side. Having already played 20 T20Is for Pakistan, Abbas has taken 33 wickets and was among the top performers in the recently concluded HBL PSL X, finishing as joint second-highest wicket-taker with 17 scalps.

The T20I series kicks off today (Wednesday), with the remaining two matches scheduled for May 30 and June 1, all to be held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
