NDMA warns of rain and thunderstorms in Punjab and KP.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has released a weather advisory warning of thunderstorms and rainfall across several districts in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) over the next 12 to 36 hours.

In light of the forecasted weather, the NDMA has urged local administrations to implement necessary precautionary measures to prevent or manage potential emergencies arising from the adverse conditions.

In Punjab, rainfall is expected in Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Mianwali, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Lahore, and Narowal. Additionally, Rawalpindi and Islamabad are likely to experience strong winds, dust storms, and scattered thunderstorms accompanied by lightning.

In KP, similar weather patterns are anticipated in Chitral, Battagram, Kohistan, Kohat, Kurram, and Bannu. Thunderstorm activity is also likely in Mardan, Peshawar, Swabi, Charsadda, Nowshera, Mansehra, and Abbottabad.
