ISLAMABAD – Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir visited Air Headquarters on Wednesday, where he was received by Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu.
General Munir praised the Pakistan Air Force for its swift and decisive response in neutralizing India’s recent aggression, commending the PAF for shooting down multiple enemy aircraft and reaffirming its operational excellence. He lauded the Air Chief and PAF personnel for their professionalism and bravery in defending the nation’s skies.
He further appreciated the exceptional coordination among Pakistan’s armed forces—Army, Navy, and Air Force—emphasizing their unified commitment to national defense.
The visit came amid heightened regional tensions following India’s violation of Pakistani airspace. The Army Chief stressed that any attempt to undermine Pakistan’s sovereignty would be met with a forceful response.
Earlier in the day, the National Security Committee condemned India’s air strikes, categorizing them as an “act of war,” and authorized the armed forces to respond accordingly. A statement released after the NSC meeting declared the strikes a blatant breach of Pakistan’s sovereignty and international law.
