Experienced domestic cricket coach Abdul Rehman has been appointed as the head coach of the Multan Sultans. Rehman previously served as the assistant coach for the Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for five years.
The official announcement of Abdul Rehman’s appointment as head coach was made by the Multan Sultans on X, formerly known as Twitter. Rehman will take over the role of head coach from Andy Flower.
Both Andy Flower and Abdul Rehman played pivotal roles in the development of the Multan Sultans, especially since the team’s inception in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in 2018. Their efforts bore fruit in 2021 when the Sultans clinched the PSL trophy under their guidance.
Abdul Rehman, who also holds the position of assistant coach for Pakistan’s men’s cricket team, expressed his deep honor at being appointed as the head coach of the Multan Sultans. He shared his sentiments, saying, “It is a moment of pride for me to get appointed as the Multan Sultans’ head coach. The Sultans are like family to me.
