Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir has addressed speculation about his potential involvement in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Speaking during a Champions Trophy transmission on a private TV channel, Amir was asked whether he planned to join the IPL after obtaining a British passport. He responded, “If I get the opportunity to play in the IPL next year, I will definitely go for it.”
When asked about potential criticism in Pakistan over his IPL participation, Amir firmly stated, “I have retired from international cricket.”
Taking a swipe at his critics, he pointed out that while Pakistani cricketers are banned from the IPL, several former players have been involved in the league as commentators and franchise coaches.
