The Judicial Commission (JC), responsible for appointing judges, will convene today at the Supreme Court (SC).
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi will preside over the meeting.
As per reports, the commission will review the names of eight session judges for their potential appointment as additional judges to the Lahore High Court (LHC).
The candidates under consideration include Raja Ghazanfar Ali, Qaiser Nazir Butt, Akmal Khan, Tanveer Ahmad Shaikh, Zaila Aslam, Tariq Mahmood Bajwa, Shahida Saeed, and Akbar Gul Khan.
