Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with DP World Group Chairman and CEO Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem in Dubai on Tuesday, on the sidelines of the World Government Summit. The meeting focused on strengthening investment and trade collaboration between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
The prime minister praised the recent visit of DP World’s delegation to Pakistan, highlighting its role in facilitating meaningful investment opportunities. He acknowledged DP World’s contributions to Pakistan’s trade and logistics infrastructure and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to swiftly implementing Intergovernmental Agreements with the company.
Shehbaz Sharif emphasized Pakistan’s efforts to streamline investment procedures through the Special Investment Facilitation Council, making the country’s business environment more transparent and investor-friendly. He invited DP World to expand its operations in Pakistan, leveraging the nation’s strategic location for enhanced regional connectivity.
Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s continued support and reaffirmed DP World’s commitment to the timely completion of ongoing projects and exploration of new business opportunities. He also announced the allocation of a dedicated exhibition hall in the UAE to showcase Pakistani products, enhancing their market access and visibility.
