Indian officials skip ICC champions trophy tour amid team boycott.

Following the Indian cricket team’s decision not to tour Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy, Indian match officials have also opted out of traveling to the tournament. According to Indian media reports, no umpire or match referee from India will join the officiating panel for the event. Notably, match referee Javagal Srinath and umpire Nitin Menon have declined to travel to Pakistan.

Reports suggest that their refusal prompted the ICC to exclude them from the panel. Srinath has taken leave from his ICC duties, while Menon cited personal reasons for his decision. It is important to note that, under ICC regulations, Indian match officials were already ineligible to oversee India’s matches if they were played in Dubai.

Javagal Srinath, a former fast bowler who represented India in 67 Tests and 229 ODIs, ended his career with 236 Test wickets and 315 ODI wickets.
