The online ticket-selling websites for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 experienced technical difficulties, crashing due to the overwhelming volume of visitors. The event, hosted by Pakistan, has generated immense excitement among cricket fans, leading to difficulties in purchasing tickets as high traffic disrupted the process.
On Monday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the start of ticket sales for the prestigious tournament, which will feature the world’s top eight cricket teams. The ticket prices for group-stage matches in Pakistan were revealed, though ticket rates for the Dubai matches, one semi-final, and the final are yet to be determined.
General sale for tickets to the group-stage matches in Pakistan began on Tuesday, Jan 28, with tickets for the second semi-final in Pakistan also available. Exclusive early access was granted to members of the ICC Family through a two-hour priority window. Ticket prices for general stands started from PKR 1,000, with premium seating available from PKR 1,500 across matches in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.
Physical tickets will be available for purchase from Feb 3 at designated TCS Express centres across Pakistan. Information on tickets for the India matches in Dubai and the ICC Champions Trophy Final will be announced soon.
ICC Chief Commercial Officer Anurag Dahiya expressed excitement for the event, emphasizing the significance of the Champions Trophy being hosted in Pakistan for the first time since 1996. Tournament director Sumair Ahmad Syed highlighted the thrilling nature of the tournament, set to take place in Pakistan’s newly upgraded, state-of-the-art stadiums.
