Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has approved the agriculture department’s proposal to launch the Benazir Kisan Card initiative, spokesperson Shahid Rind announced. This program aims to provide financial assistance to small farmers and will be managed through a cloud system developed by the Information Technology Department over the next two years.
Shahid Rind emphasized that the initiative reflects the farmer-friendly vision of former president Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He noted that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has directed the formulation of a detailed strategy to enhance the welfare of farmers in Sindh and Balochistan.
The spokesperson also explained that the program’s first phase will be financed using Balochistan’s resources, while federal government support will be sought for the second phase.
