A wave of new life has arrived at the local zoo, as three lionesses have given birth to a total of seven cubs. One lioness delivered three cubs, while the other two gave birth to two cubs each. Alongside the lions, three healthy Royal Bengal tiger cubs were also born in recent weeks.
Zoo Director Tanveer Ahmed Janjua confirmed that all the cubs are in good health. However, four of the lion cubs were not accepted by their mothers and are now being hand-fed by dedicated zoo staff.
With these new additions, the zoo’s lion population has increased significantly, rising from 22 to 29. The Royal Bengal tiger cubs, born earlier, add further excitement to the zoo’s growing family of big cats.
The births mark a positive milestone for the zoo, reflecting successful breeding efforts and the diligent care provided by the staff.
