The International Cricket Council (ICC) has scheduled a virtual board meeting on November 29 to deliberate the future of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, set to be hosted in Pakistan.
An ICC spokesperson confirmed that the meeting agenda has been shared with all board members and will focus on key issues, including potential scheduling adjustments, a hybrid hosting model, relocation, or postponement of the tournament.
Reports suggest that the ICC board favors a hybrid hosting model. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has firmly opposed this approach. The ongoing impasse arises from India’s refusal to play the tournament in Pakistan, while Pakistan remains adamant against any compromise on hosting rights.
Due to India’s stance, the ICC has yet to release the tournament’s schedule. A final decision will be made after considering inputs from all board members.
