Prince Harry shifting away from Meghan’s influence, says royal historian.

Prince Harry appears to be forging a new path, with some experts suggesting that he’s distancing himself from his past image, particularly in his relationship with Meghan Markle. Royal historian Hugo Vickers shared these thoughts in an interview with The Sun, noting that the Duke of Sussex seems to be evolving in his public appearances.

Vickers pointed out, “We’ve seen Prince Harry making several solo appearances recently, without Meghan by his side.” He went on to praise Harry’s success when engaging in activities like sports and the Invictus Games. “He truly excels in these environments,” Vickers added, noting that these occasions seem to suit him better than when he’s engaging in what he called “California speak,” a style of communication that he believes has been influenced by Meghan.

The historian continued, “Whenever Harry takes the spotlight on his own, he comes across as much more natural. I commend him for those appearances, and I’m sure he’s well-received by the public.”

Vickers also shared his perspective on the couple’s dynamic. “When they are together, Meghan often seems to take the lead in conversations. She’s the one steering the dialogue, while Harry appears to follow her lead, almost meekly,” he observed.

He suggested that this might not sit well with Harry, adding, “He may not be entirely comfortable in that role.”

In sum, Vickers’ remarks imply that Prince Harry is gradually shifting away from the image and influence of Meghan, potentially seeking a new identity separate from his wife’s prominent presence in the public eye.
