Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu emphasized the importance of countering U.S. efforts to contain both Russia and China, during a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing on Tuesday. Shoigu, a key ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, stated that the strengthening of ties between Moscow and Beijing was a stabilizing force in global politics.

They argue that the post-Cold War era of U.S. dominance is coming to an end, highlighting the historical humiliations experienced by both Russia and China.
