Dr. Umar Aftab, CEO of Pink Ribbon, highlighted that Pakistan holds the highest breast cancer rate in Asia, with over ten million women at risk. In an interview with Lahore correspondent Qasim Bukhari, Dr. Aftab emphasized the importance of early detection, noting that Pink Ribbon has been running an awareness campaign for 22 years.
He urged women to prioritize their health and seek medical consultations without hesitation, assuring that government hospitals are now well-equipped for breast cancer treatment. Dr. Aftab also encouraged women to undergo regular mammography screenings.
Discussing the Pink Ribbon Hospital in Lahore, he shared that the facility offers free diagnostic services and will soon provide surgical and chemotherapy treatments within the next two months.
