Principal Sadia Yousaf of Punjab College Campus 10 held a press conference in Lahore, addressing recent propaganda circulated on social media against the institution. Joined by students, she emphasized that the false information had harmed both the college and the country as a result of the ensuing protests.
“A fake post went viral on social media. It has been proved that we are on the right side,” said Principal Yousaf.
Student Iman Yousaf, who admitted to uploading a video without verifying the facts, expressed regret over her actions. “All the girls were sharing the post on social media. They asked me to make a video,” she explained, stating that she attended the press conference with full consent.
In response to the situation, Lahore police chief Bilal Siddique Kamyana noted that no evidence had been found to support the claims made about the incident at the private college. “The police found nothing in the CCTV footage of the college,” he stated.
