A political huddle occurred late Thursday night at the residence of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad, as reported by Dunya News. The focal point of the meeting remained the constitutional amendment package, with key participants including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, and Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar. However, the outcome mirrored that of the previous night’s gathering in Jati Umra—no progress was made on a unified draft.
While Bilawal flashed a victory sign to reporters outside Maulana’s residence, sources revealed that the high-profile meeting failed to resolve the deadlock regarding the constitutional amendment package. JUI-F maintained its demand for allied members to accept its proposed draft. During the discussions, Maulana emphasized the importance of creating an atmosphere of trust, urging the government delegation to refrain from pressuring his MNAs.
