Donald Glover, the musician, actor, and creator of “Atlanta,” has canceled the rest of Childish Gambino’s “New World Tour.” The cancellation follows the discovery of a health issue requiring surgery. After performing in New Orleans on September 7, Glover sought medical tests, leading him to cancel a Houston show the next day. While he did not disclose specifics about his condition, he shared on social media that his recovery demands serious attention and time.
“The New World Tour,” which began on August 11 in Oklahoma City, was Childish Gambino’s first tour since 2019. It was scheduled to visit major North American cities before continuing to Europe, the U.K., New Zealand, and Australia through early 2025. The cancellation impacts more than 30 shows across these regions. Glover assured fans that tickets would be refunded and expressed his gratitude for their support, privacy, and understanding during this time.
