Due to a decline in global oil prices, Pakistan is set to witness a decrease in petroleum product prices effective October 1. Sources suggest that the reduction could be up to 3 rupees per liter, with petrol prices anticipated to drop by 1 rupee per liter and diesel prices by 3 rupees per liter.
The official announcement regarding these changes is expected on September 30, with the Finance Minister scheduled to disclose the details after consultations with the Prime Minister.
This potential price adjustment follows a significant reduction in petroleum product prices implemented by the federal government on September 15.
Currently, petrol is priced at 249.10 rupees per liter, high-speed diesel at 249.69 rupees per liter, light diesel at 141.93 rupees per liter, and kerosene at 158.47 rupees per liter.
