Aayush Shukla has etched his name in T20 International cricket history by delivering a flawless performance, conceding no runs in his four overs against Mongolia.
Shukla became only the third bowler in T20I history, and the fourth overall in the format, to achieve the rare feat of bowling all four overs as maidens.
Before Shukla, this incredible accomplishment was achieved by Canada’s Saad Bin Zafar and New Zealand’s Lockie Ferguson in T20 Internationals. Additionally, Indian domestic bowler Akshay Karnivar also recorded four maiden overs in a match during the 2021 Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
In T20 cricket, a bowler is allowed a maximum of four overs, making a complete spell consist of 24 balls.
