The opening day of the second four-day match between Pakistan Shaheens and Bangladesh ‘A’ was called off due to persistent rain and a wet outfield. Umpires made the decision to abandon the day’s play an hour after lunch.
The toss is now scheduled for 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, with play expected to commence at 9:45 a.m. on the remaining three days.
In the previous four-day match between Bangladesh ‘A’ and Pakistan Shaheens, rain played a significant role, leading to a draw at the Islamabad Club last Friday. Only 39.2 overs were bowled on the fourth day as play resumed at 2 p.m. PST, while the third day’s play was entirely washed out.
Pakistan Shaheens had earlier declared their first innings at 367 for four, holding a lead of 245 runs. Bangladesh ‘A’, in their second innings, reached 153 for five before bad light halted play, ultimately resulting in a draw.
