Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has emphasized the importance of fostering peace and harmony while rejecting extremism and hatred. Speaking at the National Youth Convention in Islamabad on Tuesday, he highlighted the critical role of youth in promoting unity and tolerance, urging collective efforts to propel the country forward, transcending all differences.
He reaffirmed the government’s dedication to enhancing quality education to empower young people, noting that during the 2013-2018 PML-N government, Pakistan was on track to join the G-20 nations, with impressive economic indicators such as 2% food inflation, a 3.7% consumer price index, 6% growth, and the most stable currency in South Asia.
Regarding the current PDM government, Dar stated its primary objective is to save Pakistan from potential default, as its enemies hope. He also expressed confidence in the youth’s potential to drive change, provided they maintain unity, continuously learn, and set aside hatred, extremism, and personal biases.
Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, echoed Dar’s sentiments, reaffirming the government’s commitment to youth empowerment through various revolutionary initiatives. He called on the youth to fulfill their responsibilities in the nation’s development, recognizing it as a shared duty.
