Finance minister Muhammad Aurangzeb reviews fBR revenue collection performance.

On Monday, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb met with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) team to assess their revenue collection performance.

The minister praised the contributions of former FBR Chairman Malik Amjed Zubair Tiwana, highlighting his significant role in the budgeting process and IMF negotiations. Aurangzeb also extended a warm welcome to the new Chairman FBR, Rashid Mahmood Langrial, expressing confidence in his leadership and ability to meet the organization’s targets.

The meeting, attended by State Minister for Finance and Revenue Ali Pervez Malik, the FBR Chairman, members, and senior officers of the Board, featured detailed presentations by Member Inland Revenue (Operations) Mir Badshah Khan Wazir and Member Customs (Operations) Ashhad Jawwad on their respective areas.

Discussions focused on strategies to achieve the revenue collection targets for the current financial year. The Federal Minister commended the FBR team for their ongoing efforts to maximize revenue and broaden the tax base, emphasizing the importance of these efforts for sustained economic development.
