Fast bowler Mohammad Abbas Afridi has been called up to replace Kashif Ali in the Pakistan Shaheens’ white-ball squad for the upcoming Top End T20 series, starting on August 9. Kashif Ali, who suffered a right thigh tear during the second four-day match against Bangladesh ‘A’ (July 26-29), has returned to Pakistan to begin his rehabilitation process.
Abbas Afridi, who has played 10 T20Is and taken 16 wickets, was also a part of Pakistan’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 squad.
