Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Amjad Zubair Tiwana has formally requested early retirement from his position. Sources reveal that Tiwana has submitted a two-week notice for his departure and has informed the Prime Minister’s office of his decision via a letter.
Tiwana, who was originally scheduled to retire in February 2025, has opted for early retirement, though he has not provided specific reasons for his decision. He had previously discussed his plans for early retirement in meetings with senior officials.
