In a recent terrorist attack in Khyber, two individuals, including a police officer, were killed, and three others sustained injuries. According to District Police Officer Salim Abbas, the assailants targeted a police check-post near Landi Kotal bazaar on the Pak-Afghan road. The attack resulted in the deaths of Sub-Inspector Aaalm Zaib and a civilian, while three others were injured.
Upon receiving reports of the assault, a significant police force was deployed to the scene, issuing a high alert. However, the terrorists managed to escape before their arrival.
The injured were initially taken to Landi Kotal Hospital and were later transferred to Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar for further treatment.
