Over 55,000sikhs cast votes in khalistan referendum in calgary.

More than 55,000 Sikhs participated in the Khalistan Referendum held in Calgary, Canada, organized by Sikhs for Justice (SFJ). The high turnout underscored the community’s strong engagement in the voting process.

During a video-link address, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, SFJ’s leader, pledged to pursue their homeland’s cause “by the power of the vote.” He criticized India for targeting Sikhs and highlighted the killing of Hardeep Singh as an example. Pannun warned that if justice was not served by the courts, Sikhs might resort to “Khalsai Insaf” (Khalsai Justice) and accused Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government of being responsible for the massacre of Sikhs in Punjab.

Pannun also rallied support with the slogan “Delhi Baney Ga Khalistan” (Delhi will become Khalistan), and the event was marked by enthusiastic support from attendees. Long lines formed outside the polling center even before voting commenced at 9 am, leading to an extended polling period by an hour due to the overwhelming turnout.

The diverse crowd, spanning various ages and backgrounds, was entertained by performers who sang pro-Khalistan songs, and the venue was filled with pro-Khalistan slogans throughout the day.
