Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is anticipated to obtain unconditional EU antitrust approval for its $14 billion acquisition of networking gear maker Juniper Networks (JNPR.N), according to sources familiar with the matter.
HPE announced the deal in January, highlighting the urgency for companies to enhance and innovate new products amidst a significant increase in artificial intelligence-driven services.
The European Commission, which is set to make a decision on the deal by August 1, declined to comment. Both HPE and Juniper Networks have not yet responded to requests for comment.
