Severe weather disrupts flight operations at Lahore Allama Iqbal international airport.

Heavy rainfall and strong winds overnight caused significant disruptions at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, halting flight operations for several hours.

According to aviation sources, monsoon rains prevented flights from operating between 3 and 4 am. Operations resumed around 4 am, but several flights faced delays.

Three flights were rerouted to Multan and Peshawar, while international flights experienced significant delays. Flights from Abu Dhabi and Bahrain were diverted to Multan Airport, and flights from Riyadh landed in Peshawar.

Qatar Airways’ flight from Doha was delayed by seven hours in Lahore. The severe weather conditions have caused delays for dozens of international flights, affecting both arrivals and departures.
