Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Alfred Grannas, held a meeting where both sides vowed to strengthen bilateral ties.
Maryam Nawaz commended the swift action taken by German authorities in response to the extremist attack on the Pakistan Consulate in Germany.
The discussion covered economic cooperation, particularly in the sectors of economic and technical education. The Punjab CM praised Germany’s investment and collaboration in Punjab’s development sectors.
Further cooperation opportunities in renewable energy, vocational training, information technology, and other sectors were also discussed. The German ambassador acknowledged the Punjab government’s efforts to provide a conducive environment for investment.
During the meeting, both parties agreed to enhance technical education and achieve sustainable development goals. They reviewed suggestions for collaboration in health, education, and other sectors.
Maryam Nawaz assured German investors and businesses of full support and exchanged views on promoting vocational and technical education training programs across Punjab.
The Punjab CM emphasized the need to equip youth with skills to meet market demands and praised Germany’s leadership in renewable energy and environmentally friendly measures. She also informed the German ambassador about the solarization project aimed at providing clean and green energy.
