Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, underscored the importance of integrating technology into government departments to enhance monitoring mechanisms.
In a meeting with Brigadier (R) Babar Alaudin, Chairperson of the Chief Minister’s Directorate of Evaluation, Feedback, Inspection, and Monitoring, she shared her views on the matter.
The discussion focused on improving governance and transparency at the administrative level. They also explored ways to incorporate public opinion into policymaking and government decisions.
The Chief Minister directed Mr. Alaudin to develop a new mechanism to enhance the training of police and administration. She believes that leveraging technology will create new opportunities for better monitoring of government departments’ performance.
She highlighted that the introduction of the performance index has fostered a sense of accountability among government officials. She instructed the relevant departments to closely monitor the performance index and enforce strict oversight.
