The accountability court in Lahore on Thursday approved former Punjab chief minister Parvez Elahi’s request for exemption from physical appearance in a case involving alleged corruption in development projects.
Request for Exemption
A counsel for the PTI leader appeared before the court, submitting a request for Elahi’s absence due to health reasons. The application detailed that Elahi was unwell and had been advised by his physician to remain on bed rest.
Court’s Decision
Taking Elahi’s health condition into consideration, the court granted the request for exemption from physical appearance. The hearing has been adjourned until August 16 (Tuesday).
