Minister of Food Bilal Yasin has issued directives to all deputy commissioners and assistant commissioners across districts to enhance field operations, particularly focusing on improving the supply of wheat flour and wheat in the market.
According to Bilal Yasin, immediate action has been ordered against any artificial shortage or price hikes in wheat flour. Despite ample stocks of wheat and flour, any attempt to inflate prices is deemed unjustified.
The Food Minister emphasized the acceleration of grinding operations at Punjab’s flour mills, with instructions to expedite the process across provincial capitals and various districts. This step aims to bolster the supply of wheat flour in the market.
Highlighting the positive impact of increased flour supply, the provincial minister noted a recorded decrease in prices. He further directed authorities to swiftly remove impediments to ensure every possible relief for the public.
The directives issued by Minister Bilal Yasin underscore the government’s proactive measures to stabilize the supply and prices of essential food commodities like wheat flour. By intensifying field operations and streamlining grinding processes, the government aims to alleviate any disruptions in supply chains and maintain affordability for consumers across the region.
