Indian film and TV actor Noor Malabika Das was found dead in her apartment in Lokhandwala, Mumbai, police have confirmed.
According to Indian news agencies, Das, a former air hostess turned actor, was discovered deceased earlier this week. She was 32 years old. Her body was found decomposed after neighbors reported a foul smell emanating from her residence.
Das, who appeared alongside Bollywood star Kajol in the Disney+ Hotstar series ‘The Trial,’ is believed to have committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan. During their investigation, police collected medicines, her mobile phone, and a diary from the apartment.
Originally from Assam, Noor Malabika Das had worked in several films and TV series, including ‘Siskiyaan,’ ‘Walkaman,’ ‘Teekhi Chatni,’ ‘Jaghanya Upay,’ and her most recent work, ‘The Trial.
