In a devastating turn of events on World Press Freedom Day, a bomb explosion shook the Chamrok area of Khuzdar, Balochistan, resulting in the tragic death of a distinguished senior journalist and causing injuries to nine others. The victim, identified as Maulana Muhammad Siddique Mengal, held the esteemed position of president at the Khuzdar Press Club, highlighting the targeted nature of the attack.
As per official reports from the police, the assailants, who remain unidentified, orchestrated the attack by remotely detonating an improvised explosive device (IED) aimed at a vehicle.
