The Lahore High Court (LHC) has scheduled a hearing for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Parvez Elahi’s bail petition in the illegal recruitments case on May 2.
Justice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhry of the Lahore High Court will preside over the hearing of former Punjab chief minister Parvez Elahi’s bail plea on May 2.
In his petition, Elahi asserts that the anti-corruption court had dismissed his post-arrest bail application without considering the pertinent facts and figures of the case.
He has requested the court to grant him bail in the Punjab Assembly recruitment case.
It is noteworthy that on March 27 last month, an anti-corruption court had turned down the bail plea of former chief minister Parvez Elahi.
