Haris Rauf, the Pakistani cricketer, lodged an appeal against the suspension of his central contract with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) a few days ago. According to sources within the PCB, Haris Rauf had informed the board in detail about his unavailability due to reasons related to his tour of Australia. The PCB is currently reviewing the fast bowler’s appeal on legal grounds.
It’s worth noting that the PCB had suspended Haris Rauf’s central contract until June 30 due to his refusal to participate in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), which coincided with the beginning of his tour of Australia.
In addition to the central contract suspension, the PCB also announced its decision not to grant a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Haris Rauf for participation in cricket leagues.
Haris Rauf’s appeal signifies his determination to address the issues surrounding his central contract suspension and seek reinstatement in both domestic and international cricket activities. As the PCB evaluates his appeal, the outcome will have implications not only for Haris Rauf’s career but also for the broader landscape of Pakistani cricket.
