Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo, playing for Saudi club Al Nasr, has been handed a one-match ban by the Saudi Arabia Football Federation following an incident involving inappropriate gestures towards fans. Ronaldo took to Instagram, sharing a photo of himself exercising with the caption “can’t stop.”
The ban stems from Ronaldo’s alleged response to chants from fans of rival club Al-Shabab, believed to be supporters of Lionel Messi. During a recent match, Ronaldo reportedly made provocative gestures, including cupping his ear and making repeated thrusting motions near his pelvic area.
The SAFF disciplinary and ethics committee issued the ban, stating that the 39-year-old cannot appeal the decision. Consequently, Ronaldo will miss Al Nasr’s upcoming home match against Al-Hazm.
